Question of the Week
Q: When will the ACCESS/Alternate ACCESS window close for ordering materials?
A: As a reminder, the ACCESS/Alternate ACCESS window in WIDA Assessment Management System (AMS) will close Oct. 27 for ordering kindergarten, online, Alternate ACCESS, and accommodated materials. Districts do not have to order pre-ID labels. Districts should only order materials for the amount of English Learner (EL) students enrolled and identified in the district in Infinite Campus (IC).
How to Order Materials:
- Log into WIDA AMS
- Click Materials > Materials Ordering
- Choose the Administration KY ACCESS for ELLs - 2020 - 2021
- Click Show Materials
WIDA AMS requires users to enter enrollments for each school rather than at the district level.

Located in far western Kentucky, Calloway County is home to the beautiful city of Murray and to Calloway County School District, where “Every Student Matters and Every Moment Counts.” The district consists of a stand-alone preschool, three elementary schools, one middle school, one high school, one alternative facility, and one shared area technology center. The school system has approximately 2,900 students from age three through grade 14 and offers a wide range of programs and activities to meet the needs of all students academically, socially and personally. The district has almost 500 certified and classified employees. Approximately 58% of the students qualify for free or reduced-price lunch. Calloway County School’s goal is expressed in its mission and vision statements, placing a high value on being "Learners for Life" and visualizing students who are "Successful-Now and Beyond."
One of the reasons for Calloway’s continual success is the use of formative and summative student data to help drive decisions. Calloway focuses on finding multiple data points that help illuminate strengths and weaknesses in student learning and teacher instruction. The district uses longitudinal data to track students’ progress over time and help teachers and administrators identify and close achievement gaps. The faculty and staff’s commitment to data-driven decisions has helped Calloway County School’s make continuous improvement and reach high levels of success.
