(FRANKFORT, KY) – The Kentucky Department of Education's (KDE) World Language Review Committee will hold a virtual meeting on Oct. 21. The session is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. ET.
Senate Bill 1 (2017) calls for the KDE to implement a process for reviewing all academic standards and aligned assessments. The schedule calls for one or two content areas to be reviewed each year and every six years after that on a rotating basis.
The World Language Review Committee is comprised of five members, including elementary, middle and high school teachers from across the state.
Pursuant to Executive Order 2020-243, OAG 20-05, and a memorandum issued by the Finance and Administration Cabinet dated March 16, 2020, and in an effort to prevent the spread of novel coronavirus (COVID-19), the Kentucky Department of Education (KDE) is conducting all open meetings by video teleconference.
Members of the public are encouraged to view the meeting on KDE's Media Portal.
