Kentucky Academic Standards Now Available for Import into Infinite Campus
The Kentucky Department of Education (KDE) has partnered with IMS Global to provide the machine-readable version of the Kentucky Academic Standards (KAS) for Reading and Writing, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies available for import into Infinite Campus (IC) and other compatible products. KDE has plans to make all KAS available soon.
KDE is working with Infinite Campus to load the KAS using a blank rubric to all districts during the last week of June, however districts can import them now if they so choose. KDE provided Kentucky Student Information System (KSIS) points of contacts with detailed instructions for importing KAS into IC through the KSIS Notification Campus.2020 release reminder email on June 10.
Machine-readable KAS should be regarded as an interactive digital companion that can provide direct support for teachers who wish to utilize such features as standards-based grading and lesson planning in IC. To design high-quality, standards-aligned instruction, educators should continue to use the KAS documents available on the KYstandards.org website.
IMS Global is a national consortium of educational institutions, education technology suppliers (digital tools, content, applications, etc.) and government organizations who helps leads interoperability standards development and implementation.
Campus Learning Overview Session for Districts June 17
You are invited to participate in an in-depth overview of Campus Learning. Campus Learning is free to districts using it for the next two years. Districts must opt-in to participate.
Invitation from Infinite Campus:
Infinite Campus has a Campus Learning call scheduled for 1-4 p.m. ET June 17. This call is an overview of the tools and functionality that are available in order to give you a better idea of what your district might like to use. Examples will be given of how you might be able to use the tools at your district. We encourage you to come to this call if you are not sure about all that Campus Learning has to offer or you are still trying to decide what you might like to implement.
This is not meant to be a training call for end users, as those will happen in August. This will be recorded if you cannot make it.
