(FRANKFORT, KY) – The School Curriculum, Assessment and Accountability Council (SCAAC) will meet at 9 a.m. (ET) July 16 at the Kentucky Department of Education in Frankfort.
As mandated by KRS 158.6452, the SCAAC was abolished by Executive Order on July 13, 2018, and subsequently re-created to study, audit, review and make recommendations concerning Kentucky's system of setting academic standards, assessing learning, identifying academic competencies and deficiencies of students, holding schools accountable for learning, and assisting schools to improve their performance.
SCAAC is comprised of 11 voting members, and one non-voting member. All members are appointed by the governor.
