Streets Manager – Unfortunately, Public Works is losing a valued member of the team after this week. Fortunately, Vincent Billaci is not going far to join the Parks & Recreation Department. We know he will add value to their team, and it is a change he is looking forward to for several reasons. We are happy for him and his family.
As we prepare to find a great replacement, Eric Norbert and Dewayne Smith will serve as co-interim Streets Managers. They are the only members of the Streets Division who will pursue the permanent position, so we will place them in the interim status to further evaluate them both. Both are solid candidates and are committed to serving in this way as we move through the interview process. In the meantime, please send requests, complaints, etc., to Jeff Fisher directly so that he can disseminate them accordingly.
Trash & Recycling - In observance of Thanksgiving Day, Waste Management will not collect residential trash and recycling in Kansas City, Kansas, on Thursday, November 23, 2023. Residential trash & recycling collection will be delayed by one day:
- If your normal day is Thursday, place your items at the curb or street edge on Friday, November 24
- If your normal day is Friday, place your items at the curb or street edge on Saturday, November 25
