MLK Day to alter trash pickup schedule

The City of Newton will observe Monday, Jan. 20 as the Martin Luther King Jr. Day holiday, altering the curbside trash pickup schedule.

Trash normally picked up on Monday will be picked up Tuesday, Jan. 21. Trash normally picked up on Tuesday will be picked up Wednesday, Jan. 22. Thursday and Friday routes will run as usual.
