At Tuesday night’s meeting, the City Commission approved the final plat for the redevelopment of the former Fox Ridge Golf Course.
Last fall, the City Commission approved rezoning the property to multi-family residential (R-3) from the previous single-family (R-S) and commercial (C-2) zoning. The developer, Bryan Legaly Homes, plans a mix of large single-family houses and duplex units.
The Commission also received petitions for water, sewer, streets and box culvert to serve the addition.
The development will be built in two phases, with the area east of the drainageway that splits the property being developed first as phase 1.
The City Commission set the 2023 dates of fireworks sales and discharge. Sales of fireworks will be permitted 10 a.m.-10 p.m. June 27-30, 7 a.m.-midnight July 1-3, and 7 a.m.-10 p.m. July 4. Fireworks can be discharged 10 a.m.-10 p.m. June 30 and 7 a.m.-midnight July 1-4.
