SEHP Rolls Out Changes for Plan Year 2026
Open Enrollment Begins October 1
All rates and plan design decisions are made annually by the State Employees Health Care Commission (HCC). At their June meeting, the Commission voted to implement the below changes for Plan Year 2026:
Deductible and Copay Changes:
- Plan A Calendar Year Deductible will increase from $800 individual/$1,600 Family to $1,000 Individual/ $2,000 Family
- Plan A Specialist Office visit copay will increase from $40 to $60
- Plans C and N the member plus dependent first Deductible will increase to $3,400 to meet IRS guidelines
GLP-1 Changes:
Rates for Plan Year 2025:
- Employee rates will increase 2% effective 1/1/2026
HRA/HSA Contributions for Plans C and N
- No changes to the Employer HRA/HSA contributions.
Dental Rate:
- Employee dental rates increase 3.3%
Health Care Commission Selects New Flexible Spending Account Vendor
Beginning January 1, 2026, MetLife will manage employee’s Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA.)
MetLife provides FSA options, such as healthcare FSAs, dependent care FSAs and limited purpose FSAs, designed to help employees manage out of pocket healthcare expenses using pretax dollars. These accounts can cover a wide range of eligible expenses.
Benefit and coverage details will be available during Open Enrollment.
Personnel Officer Training Sessions for the upcoming Open Enrollment season will be September 10th through September 19th. These meetings will be virtual using Microsoft Teams. Watch for additional communications with specific times and registration details.

Once again, the SEHP will be producing an online pdf of the 2026 Open Enrollment guide for all members. This file will be available on the SEHP website by mid September.
Should members want a printed copy mailed to them, they will need to request a copy by completing this web form by July 31, 2025.

HealthQuest Health Center Health Coaching services are available at no cost to all active employees and their covered spouses covered by State Employee Health Plan (Plans A, C, J and N). Health Coaching is available in person at the HealthQuest Health Center in Topeka or virtually.
Anywhere appointments can be scheduled Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. - 5 p.m. CST or with nurse on call from 5 p.m. to 7 a.m. CST.
