Law enforcement agencies encouraged
to apply
for the STOP Grant Program

The Indiana Criminal Justice Institute is encouraging law enforcement agencies to apply for the 2020 Violence Against Women Act STOP Grant Program, which works to develop and strengthen the criminal justice system’s response to violence against women and to support and enhance services for victims.

Funding from this solicitation is limited to law enforcement activities only. Those include (but are not limited to): investigation of a crime, training law enforcement to more effectively identify and respond to crimes against women, developing more effective protocols and training forensic examiners in the collection of evidence.

There is a 25% non-federal match required, and law enforcement agencies are asked to consult with a Victim Service Agency during the course of developing this STOP application. If awarded, grant recipients must protect the privacy and confidentiality of those being served.

Applications must be submitted electronically through IntelliGrants by 11:59 P.M. (ET) on Monday, August 3, 2020.
