We're on Instagram!

On June 1, 2019, the Indiana Civil Rights Commission will be officially rolling out our new profile on the social media platform Instagram. Our Instagram handle is @incivilrights.

This new initiative is part of a larger effort to increase the media presence and following of ICRC accounts, news, and activities. Instagram was picked as a viable candidate to expand the ICRC platform due to its large number of users, the ability to encourage engagement through story posts, and popularity among young adults.
As it is being introduced right before the 46th Annual Consortium Conference, stories and posts on the platform will be regularly utilized during that time in an effort to not only better inform the public, but also to boost the following of this account.

Know Your Rights Night with the Fever!

Join the Indiana Civil Rights Commission as we team up with Freddy and the Indiana Fever! 

The Indiana Civil Rights Commission (ICRC) will team up the Indiana Fever for a "Know Your Rights Night" themed game night on Friday, July 12th from 5-9 PM. Know Your Rights Night will include a pre-game panel discussion at 5 PM. Get some insight into discrimination in sports—as well as how leaders in the industry are working to combat it. Then follow it up with some great basketball! Stay tuned for tickets on our social media!

This is a Groups Eat Free Night, and each discounted ticket purchase will include:

  • Food Voucher (hot dog, chips and drink)
  • Fever Drawstring Bag
  • Post-game Free Throw on the Main Court

2019 Governor's Awards Reception

The Indiana Civil Rights Commission (ICRC), Indiana Black Expo, Inc., Indiana Department of Administration Division of Supplier Diversity, and Indiana Family and Social Services Administration, I'd like to invite you the 2019 Governor's Reception in conjunction with the 49th Annual Black Expo at 2 PM, Tuesday, July 16th at the Indiana Convention Center 500 Ballroom. 

Every year, Governor Eric J. Holcomb honors African-American Hoosiers for their exceptional efforts across several fields including education, health, and civil rights.

The event is free and open to the public, however, pre-registration is required on Indiana Black Expo's website while tickets last.  Please feel free to share this event with your community and network.
