New two-year National Main Street membership opportunity
In collaboration with our partners at the National Main Street Center, we invite you to join the Start Up Membership Program. This exclusive two-year program is designed especially for organizations that are not current members, working towards accreditation or focused on building capacity. It allows access to valuable tools and resources at a significantly discounted rate as you develop your local revitalization effort. For just $150 per year (valued at $350), you’ll gain access to:
- The Point, Main Street America’s online member networking platform that allows you to share ideas and resources with other revitalization professionals across the country;
- State of Main, the annual printed publication;
- Access to the Resource Center full of must-read revitalization publications, resource guides, webinars, curated Revitalization Toolkits and archives of the Main Street Now journal;
- Free online training opportunities;
- Special discounted rates at the annual Main Street Now Conference, and the Main Street America Institute;
After your two years as a Start Up Member, the opportunity will be available to move to one of National’s other member categories. You’ll maintain access to your benefits as you take the next step in your Main Street journey. Please refer to this one-pager for more information. Contact the National Main Street Center if you have any questions.
This yearly reporting process gives our office an opportunity to utilize the information collected to conduct an assessment of each Main Street organization. If you have not completed your assessment and returned the investment information, please start the process soon.
The 2018 Indiana Main Street Assessment and Return on Investment forms must be completed by February 1, 2019. Both forms must be completed through the following links:
The assessment and ROI webinar is available to watch on our website. Please contact Mary Shaw or your Community Liaison if you have any questions.
There is still time to register for the National Main Street Conference, which is being held March 25-27 in Seattle, Washington. Mary Shaw and OCRA's Executive Director Jodi Golden will be attending and would like to see a good Indiana representation at this annual conference. The Main Street Now Conference is a one-of-a-kind event, providing attendees with an opportunity to convene and learn about the innovative methods and practices that make the Main Street Approach® one of the most powerful economic development tools in the nation.
