You're Invited: 28th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Indiana Holiday Celebration
State of Indiana sent this bulletin at 11/21/2018 12:30 PM ESTThe Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Indiana Holiday Commission, the State of Indiana, the Indiana Civil Rights Commission, Indiana Black Expo, Inc. and AFSCME, are hosting the 28th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Indiana Holiday Celebration at 12:00 pm on Thursday, January 10, 2019, in the State House North Atrium.
Before the State House event, we will be hosting a commemorative Wreath Placing Ceremony at the Indiana War Memorial: Soldiers and Sailors Monument, alongside the Iota Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. This will take place on Wednesday, January 9th, from 6-7 PM.
Then, on Monday, January 21, 2019, we continue our time-honored tradition of rolling up our sleeves to serve in the legacy of Dr. King during the 8th Annual Dr. King Day of Service. Register to participate here.

Award nomination forms for the Holiday Celebration are now open! To nominate qualified individuals for the Sagamore of the Wabash, Freedom, Legacy and Trailblazer awards, visit the MLKIHC website. Nomination forms close December 3rd, 2018.
In celebration of this holiday, MLKIHC and ICRC have created a social media campaign titled "Continuing the Legacy," where we'll be featuring opportunities to get involved in day-of-service activities all over the state and providing information about how you can contribute to your community & continue his legacy.
