Announcing Keynote: Patricia Payne, Racial Equity Advocate

Greetings!

We are proud to announce that Patricia Payne will be our Day 2 Luncheon Keynote speaker on October 11th from 12:15-1:45 PM at the Sheraton Indianapolis City Centre Hotel! 

Patricia has a long history of equal rights advocacy in Indianapolis. In 1998, the Crispus Attucks Museum of African American History opened with Mrs. Payne serving as its Director.  This museum honorCrispus Attucks as the first casualty of the American Revolutionary War and the first African American hero. 

Through her career, Patricia has also served as Chairperson of the National Education Association (NEA) Black Caucus, Co-Chairperson of the NEA Minority Affairs Committee, and President of the Indianapolis Education Association.   

She is currently serving as an Administrator on Special Assignment for the Racial Equity Initiative for Indianapolis Public Schools.  We are looking forward to hearing from her about moving racial equality forward in many aspects of your community.
