AmeriCorps Programs Recruiting Members

AmeriCorps members serve full-time or part-time over a period of 3-12 months depending on their program model. On average, full-time members will serve 40 hours a week during the course of the program year, and part-time members will serve between 10-20 hours depending on the parameters of their program.

There are many benefits to becoming an AmeriCorps member including training, participation in meeting needs in the community, and developing job skills.  

Current positions: YMCA of Greater Indianapolis is currently accepting applications for a Program Site Coordinator and a Youth Mentor/Tutor

City of South Bend Hiring AmeriCorps Program Director

The City of South Bend is hiring an AmeriCorps Program Director for their new AmeriCorps program.  Some of the Program Director responsibilities are: Manage federal grant, supervise AmeriCorps members, and build community partnerships.  Supervisory experience, attention to detail a must. AmeriCorps Grant Application Reviewers Needed

Serve Indiana is conducting its annual application process and is seeking peer reviewers for their fall submissions.  If you are interested, please review the full information below and respond via email to info@serveindiana.gov.

Reviewer Role: Serve Indiana’s policy is to have 3-5 peer reviewers per re-compete/new AmeriCorps State application.  Thus we ask each reviewer to review 1-3 full new or re-compete application to assist in the scoring of these applications.  These grants are 12-15 pages in length for narratives with additional documents such as budgets, performance measures and logic models.

Application Rules/Regulations: The grant applications are based on the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS) and Serve Indiana Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) and application instructions.  If you would like to review these items further, they are available on our website.

2019-2020 AmeriCorps Program Information Webinar

Join Serve Indiana on Tuesday, August 14th at 2:30 p.m. EST. as we walk through, in detail, three major sections of the AmeriCorps State application: Logic Models, Budgets, and Performance Measures.  This webinar is the third in a three part series and goes into detail on how to successfully communicate your program through these three section.  It is the suggestion of Serve Indiana that all programs begin their application by walking through these section so we encourage all levels of experience to attend.  Any new applicants, re-competing current program, or continuation competitive applicant should especially attend.  If you did not attend the previous webinars, please review them prior to this webinar on our website.  Questions, email info@serveindiana.gov.
