APRIL 2017
CALL BEFORE YOU DIG! Governor Eric J. Holcomb has declared April as Safe Digging Month. It's a reminder to all of us to call 811 at least two business days before digging, or file an online request at www.811now.com. Having the utility lines in your yard is a free service that's required by state law before digging. More importantly, if can help prevent a serious or even fatal accident. Remember: Underground utility lines in your yard may be much shallower than you think.
CASE UPDATES Recent filings in IURC cases include closing arguments in the East Chicago municipal water rate case and the settlement agreement in the Citizens sewer rate case subdocket. The OUCC will file testimony soon in the Ohio Valley Gas and Rivers Edge water rate cases. Updates on rate cases and other key cases are posted regularly on the OUCC website.
WE'RE HIRING The OUCC has openings for legal, accounting, environmental analysis, and engineering positions. If you're committed to consumer advocacy and want to be part of a high-performing team, one of our positions may be the one for you. We've posted the positions on our website. Applications are being accepted now at careers.IN.gov.
