Indiana State Police will be Escorting the Remains of U.S. Army Specialist Drew Watters
Later tonight Indiana State Police will be escorting the remains of 23-year-old Specialist Drew Watters from Indianapolis International Airport to Browning Funeral Home in Evansville. His remains are currently scheduled to arrive in Indianapolis at approximately 8:58 EDT. Watters was killed during a training exercise last Sunday.
Itinerary and Route of Travel:
Indianapolis International Airport to I-70 east, south on I-465, south on SR 37 to Bloomington. The escort will drive by the IU Football Stadium in Bloomington before driving south on I-69 toward Evansville. Troopers will continue south on I-69, west on I-64, south on US 41, east on Baseline Road to North High School football stadium parking lot for a brief meeting with friends. The escort will continue south on US 41, west on Diamond Avenue to Browning Funeral Home located at 738 E. Diamond Avenue, Evansville.
The escort is scheduled to arrive at Browning Funeral Home in Evansville between 11:30 p.m. and midnight.
Funeral Arrangements:
According to Browning Funeral Home, the funeral for Army Specialist Watters will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, November 14 at Christian Fellowship Church on Millersburg Road. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. and on Wednesday from noon to 2 p.m.
