Traffic Stop Yields Large Amount of Meth in Clark County

Clark County-Yesterday, shortly before noon, trooper Andrew Taylor made a traffic stop on a 2005 Nissan Altima in Jeffersonville on 11th Street near Howard Avenue. The driver, Shane L. Guthrie, 35, from Jeffersonville was stopped for the vehicle displaying a temporary license plate with an obstructed expiration date.

During the traffic stop, officers located approximately 62.37 grams of suspected Methamphetamine and approximately 7.8 grams of suspected Marijuana. Shane L. Guthrie was arrested for Dealing in Methamphetamine, Possession of Methamphetamine, Trafficking with an Inmate and Possession of Marijuana.

During the traffic stop a white male passenger in the front seat fled the scene and was not located.

Shane L. Guthrie was incarcerated at the Clark County Jail.
