Public and Private School Program Rates

The Office of Early Childhood and Out-of-School Learning (OECOSL) released updated Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF) Reimbursement Rates in October 2025. The new rate for all programs operated by a public or private school is $147.82 per child, per week, for infant to preschool-aged children.

OECOSL performed research to verify that all programs were being paid correctly. This revealed that some programs operated by public and private schools were not receiving the updated rate.

Starting April 5, 2026, a system update will capture all programs operated by a public or private school (regardless of license type). This will change the reimbursement rate to $147.82 for infant, toddler, and preschool age groups. No changes will be made to the existing school-age/school-other rates.

If there is a difference between the provider rate and the CCDF Reimbursement Rate, you may ask families to pay the difference. Providers have the right to charge this "overage."

OECOSL will not collect any overpayments made between October 2025 and April 2026. The first payment reflecting the updated rates is May 7, 2026.
