CCDF Payment and Attendance Reminders
Providers,
I want to share a brief update regarding recent national news about the Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF).
First and most importantly, there will be no delay in CCDF payments to Indiana providers.
The Office of Early Childhood and Out-of-School Learning (OECOSL) is in regular communication with the Administration for Children and Families at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, and Indiana remains in full compliance with all federal CCDF requirements.
This is a timely reminder about Pay by Enrollment expectations for providers participating in CCDF and On My Way Pre-K. All programs must:
- Track attendance internally and record child absences every two weeks in the provider portal.
- Maintain backup attendance documentation that may be reviewed or audited by OECOSL at any time.
Consistent and accurate attendance records are essential for compliance and help ensure stability for providers and the broader system.
I recognize that some recent national media coverage may raise questions or concerns for providers. If there are any changes to CCDF funding or requirements that affect Indiana providers, OECOSL will communicate them clearly and promptly.
If you have questions or need additional support, please submit a request to the OECOSL Child Care Support team or call 1-800-299-1627. Thank you for the work you do every day to support Hoosier children and families.
