CCDF Reimbursement Rate Change
Effective Oct. 5, 2025, the Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF) reimbursement rates will change. The rate adjustments enable the Office of Early Childhood and Out-of-School Learning to avoid terminating voucher eligibility for currently enrolled families. This may affect the amount families are expected to pay.
If there is a difference between the provider rate and the CCDF Reimbursement Rate, families will likely be asked to pay the difference. This is called an overage payment and providers have the right to charge this payment. Families that are concerned about overage payments should contact Indiana 211, by calling 2-1-1 or visiting IN211.org, to see if lower cost child care options are available in their area.
Families may be charged a co-pay based on their income and number of years on the CCDF program. For existing vouchers, co-pay amounts will not increase, but they may be split between more than one child in a household to cover the entire co-pay amount. Families that have children attending different child care providers, may pay part of the co-pay to one provider and the other part to the second provider.
Families should log in to the Parent Portal on or after Sept. 22, 2025 to review their vouchers and how the new rates may have changed their overage or co-pay distribution. If families need access to the portal, please have them contact their local eligibility office. They can request a copy of their pre-voucher report that includes their parent key.
