The 2019 Indiana Quarter Horse Breed Development Program Stakes Season at Indiana Grand Racing & Casino has come to a close. More than $3.4 million was awarded throughout the 2019 race meet.

2020 Breeding Season Barn List
To assist potential new breeders and owners in taking advantage of our lucrative breeding incentive program, we are providing a list of Indiana breeding farms that are available for housing your broodmares and/or stallions for the coming foaling and breeding season. This list of farms is voluntary—meaning the list is not all encompassing—there are more farms in the state participating in our programs but have not provided us the necessary farm information prior to this posting. Caring for Horses During Weather Changes
Horses might have a tough time adjusting to the elements when moving from a cold climate to a hot one (or vice versa) or when body-clipped during a serious cold snap.

The fall sales season was successful for Indiana Quarter Horse breeders. Here are some stats:
2019 QHRAI Speed Sale
- Total Sales: $402,900 (46 sold, 3 out)
- Average: $8,759
- High Seller: Streakin James, consigned by Brian Gunder and D & J Lehman $37,000
- 17 repurchases
2019 November Heritage Place Fall Mixed Sale
- Total Sales: $32,000 (7 sold, 4 out)
- Average: $4,571
- High Seller: Above The Brimm, consigned by Gordan Timm $11,000
Register to Earn Incentives
Stallions: Deadline for stallions to be registered and residing in Indiana was November 1. However, we are still taking registrations. The late fee for returning stallions of $100 will be charged after November 1. New stallions do not have to pay a late fee.
Mares: Deadline for mares to be registered and residing in Indiana is July 1 of the year prior to foaling, however if you decide to register your mare AFTER July 1, you will need to register her and breed back to an Indiana Registered Stallion.
Foals: Registration is due within 1 year of the foaling date. However, late foals can be submitted with a late fee. (Check the website to make sure your foal is registered.)
