CSBG
- The 2021 Community Action Plan template has been released, and can be found on IHCDA’s website here. Completed Plans are due Monday, November 9 by 5pm ET.
- IHCDA is working with 18 agencies on updates to their 2019 Annual Report submissions. Once all submissions have been accepted by OCS, IHCDA will send emails confirming that to all agencies.
EAP
- As you are preparing for PY 2021, remember that this years' IHCDA trainings are on the IHCDA Program Partners page for EAP and the recent Roeing trainings are in the Knowledge portal of EAPConnect.
- For EAP applicants who need additional information about the program prior to filling out an online application, please direct them to http://eap.ihcda.in.gov so that they can read about program eligibility and timelines.
Weatherization
- New guidance Wx-2020-05 was released regarding Pairing LIHEAP Mechanical and DOE Base. The guidance was sent to all program managers and EDs via email and will be posted on IHCDA's website shortly.

From the Indiana Department of Workforce Development: DWD will begin making Lost Wages Assistance (LWA) payments to eligible claimants beginning the week of Monday, Sept. 21. LWA is funded by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to provide $300 per week to supplement unemployment benefits for those who have an unemployment benefit amount of at least $100 and are out of work due to COVID-19. LWA funding will only cover the six-week period from the week ending Aug. 1 to the week ending Sept. 5. No LWA funding will be available to states beyond that time period.

Centers for Disease Control released a new order that put a Temporary Halt on Residential Evictions to Prevent the Further Spread of COVID-19 beginning on September 4th. To help landlords, tenants, and courts to better understand this new order, the Landlord Tenant Task Force created by the Indiana Supreme Court’s Office of Judicial Administration released a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) document.

The Board’s Role in Setting the Mission & Direction of the CAA; October 8, 2020 – 2 pm ET Register
Digging Deeper into Organizational Standard 4.1 - Organizational Standard 4.1 states that the Board reviews the organization’s mission statement within the last 5 years and ensures that it addresses poverty and the programs and services of the agency align with it. While the minimum requirement is the review, the Board has a fundamental duty to set the mission and direction of the organization.
