IHCDA continues to monitor the situation with COVID-19 in Indiana as circumstances change and additional information becomes available. To provide transparency and customer service, IHCDA will update this list with any new policies/procedures as they become available. These updates will be provided on a weekly basis for the foreseeable future.

Reminders for Subgrantees

IHCDA Updates

• As we move out of the crisis phase of COVID-19, the Community Programs Resources email will be sent every other week rather than every week. After today, the next resources email will be sent June 18, 2020.

CSBG Updates

• IHCDA is looking for network feedback on initial 2021/2022 State Plan responses. That feedback can be provided via survey here, preferably by Monday, June 8 at 5pm Eastern Time.

Weatherization Updates

• New weatherization guidance was released this week allowing agencies to provide in-home services no sooner than June 14.

EAP Updates

• Guidance concerning application of the Drastic Loss of Income policy (LI-020-02) and administration of CARES Act funding (LI-020-03) have been sent out to the network.
• New agreements awarding CARES Act funding (LI-CV-020-0xx) as well as new budget forms will be distributed to all LSPs shortly.
• This Monday June 8, IHCDA will be hosting a webinar/conference call for all LSPs to review and discuss the program design for administering the CARES Act funding as well as to ask any questions. Participation by every LSP is expected. Please contact Thom if you have not yet received an invite.

Resources

• The Community Action Partnership has asked for stories about your agency's innovative responses to COVID-19. If you have a good story, complete the survey. and if possible, send IHCDA an email to let us know your story as well!
• For a variety of eCourses, webinars, publications, toolkits, resource guides, and online tools, visit the Partnership's Resource Library.
• Data from the Indiana 211 Partnership show that despite the eviction pause, 22,354 Hoosiers have contacted 211 seeking housing services, with a one-week maximum of 2,707 requests over that time. • Building Readiness: Reopening Our Doors - This new resource from CAPLAW released today addresses many of the questions on the forefront of Community Action Agencies’ planning efforts in the wake of COVID-19.

COVID-19 and Census 2020

Agencies are encouraged to continue outreach to ensure their clients are counted in the 2020 Census. Given the impact that COVID-19 is having on in-person interactions, agencies should direct their clients to the online questionnaire here: https://my2020census.gov/.
