IHCDA has a list of updated resources available through our website. We highly encourage all organizations serving the homeless to coordinate with their regional chair as well as their local health department, city/county government, township trustees, and key emergency assistance providers. It is important to be as proactive as possible in this situation.

Mega Waiver: IHCDA has submitted a blanket waiver for all subrecipients. If any subrecipients want to access waivers for CoC, ESG, or HOPWA, please contact the Community Services Team.

CARE Act Funding: Our team is working through next steps on both items for the ESG and HOPWA funds for the Balance of State. We will be in touch as those are finalized within the next week or so-thank you for your patience!

Debt Service Relief for Development Fund, HOME, and CDBG-D Loans: IHCDA has implemented a Relief Policy. This Relief Policy is designed to promote housing stability and to respond to concerns raised by IHCDA’s partners and affordable housing advocates. - Additionally, the following regions are in the process of setting up their isolation shelters: Region 1a, 5, 6, 8, 9, 11.

Community Action Program Legal Services (CAPLAW) Building Readiness: Reopening – This new resource from CAPLAW addresses many of the questions on the forefront of the Community Action Agencies’ planning efforts in the wake of COVID-19. This resource may also be useful to states as they craft and implement updated policies and protocols. The guide is organized into five sections.
- Planning for reopening;
- Prevention and workplace safety protocols to minimize the spread of COVID;
- Response to known or suspected cases of COVID-19 related claims;
