IHCDA COVID-19 update: A message from Jake
During last week's IHCDA board meeting, which was held virtually in accordance with recent Executive Orders issued by Governor Eric Holcomb, I was given additional delegation authority. This allows us to respond more quickly during the COVID-19 state of emergency by having the ability to:
- Receive funding from and approve the allocation of Federal, State, County and Local partners;
- Enter into grant agreements, contracts and memorandums of understanding or any other type of written agreements that are required to obligate funding;
- Allocate funds from other IHCDA funding sources for purposes other than the currently designated purposes; and
- Redeploy funds from current unobligated IHCDA sources to respond to the COVID-19 public health emergency.
To keep you informed of these actions, and other important information during this critical time, we've developed a new page on our website. This is your one-stop-shop for all the resources, guidance and information that we issue related to COVID-19. In addition to this page, we will continue notifying you of updates through messages like this one.
I want to take a moment to thank each of you for your close collaboration, support and feedback. I know this is a very challenging time. I appreciate your commitment to working with us to continue our efforts to provide housing opportunities, promote self-sufficiency and strengthen Indiana communities.
As always, we can be reached through our normal office phone and e-mail contacts. I am accessible should you have any questions or comments. Please contact me at jsipe@ihcda.in.gov or on my direct line at 317-233-1811.
