IHCDA announces Modular Workforce Housing Pilot Program
Through a recently released RFQ, we are soliciting qualifications from non-profit respondents to increase the availability of workforce housing by developing and selling modular homes. Respondents are expected to target lots that have utilized our statewide Blight Elimination Program (BEP). We will award funds in the form of a grant of up to $500,000 each to two eligible non-profit respondents pursuant to this RFQ. (Note: The photo above is of a modular home).

Groundbreaking Ceremony held for The Kids on Wheels Skate Park
It was a beautiful day to be in Nashville, Indiana for the groundbreaking of the Kids on Wheels Skate Park earlier this month. We are pleased to provide $50,000 in matching funds through our CreatINg Places program after the group succesfully reached their crowdfunding goal.

Indiana Landmarks holds 2019 Historic Preservation Conference
From April 9-12, 2019, Indiana Landmarks held their Statewide Historic Preservation Conference in Evansville. The conference included inspiring lectures, educational sessions, tours and networking opportunities. Students from Indiana universities also participated in a "charrette" or fast-paced session focused on creative ideas for the adaptive use of the Shackelford Mansion in Evansville.

2019 Spring Development Day
We were pleased to host more than 150 individuals for the 2019 Spring Development Day in Noblesville on April 23, 2019. The event brought together organizations from each of the Indiana Balance of State Continuum of Care regions for training and staff development.
