Teens Raise Thousands to Build Skate Park at Deer Run Park in Nashville, Indiana
Kids on Wheels, a group comprised of local teens and skateboarding enthusiasts, raised more than $100,000 to build their dream skate park in Nashville, Indiana. IHCDA granted $50,000 in matching funds to the $60,000 raised through the “crowdgranting” site Patronicity. Construction for the 5,500-foot park will begin on April 15 and is expected to be completed before summer.

Sidewalk Labs' New App Helps Designers and Planners Study How Public Spaces Are Used
Sidewalk Labs has recently launched their app CommonSpace. It will help give urban planners a modern tool to crowdsource data on where and how public spaces are used. Eventually this information will help planners determine future changes in public spaces.

Do you have a local official who has served faithfully for years, managed your municipal finances flawlessly, or made outstanding contributions to the field of local government?
