Teams Announced for the 10th Annual Indiana Supportive Housing Institute

The Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority (IHCDA) and Corporation for Supportive Housing (CSH) announced the six teams that will be participating in the 2019 Indiana Supportive Housing Institute. These teams will each establish a plan to create a supportive housing development serving either homeless veterans or individuals experiencing chronic homelessness.

Gleaners provides a helping hand to Hoosiers facing homelessness

Gleaners Food Bank of Indiana has a long history of helping Hoosiers. With a mission of “leading the fight against hunger” they jumped at the opportunity to assist with the 2019 Point-in-Time Count in Indiana. In total, Gleaners and their staff provided enough items for 1,500 care packages that went to Hoosiers experiencing homelessness that were distributed by regional Point-in-Time coordinators.

CSH, a recognized leader in supportive housing solutions, is hosting its CSH Summit 2019 in Indianapolis on April 30 – May 2, 2019. CSH selected Indianapolis for their national summit in part because of its long-standing presence in Indiana and the annual Supportive Housing Institute. Professionals working in affordable housing, medical and mental healthcare, education, IDD, child welfare, justice reform, addiction treatment, homelessness response and community planning are encouraged to attend. Early-bird registration is open now until March 1, 2019. For more information, and to register, click here.
