The CreatINg Places program continues to accept applications. CreatINg Places is a place-based crowdfunding grant program that employs a donation and reward-based method of crowdfunding called “crowdgranting”. In crowdgranting, citizens actively support projects and activities through web-based donations which, if the fundraising goal is reached within a set time, are then matched by IHCDA grant dollars.

2018 CDBG OOR Application Round Open IHCDA’s 2018 Community Development Block Grant Owner Occupied Rehabilitation (OOR) Final Policy, Application Form, and Appendices are now available on IHCDA’s CDBG webpage. Mickey's Kingdom Grand Opening A new playground in Evansville called Mickey's Kingdom opened in late October thanks to local crowdfunding efforts and a matching grant from IHCDA's CreatINg Places program. The project is approximately 20,000 square feet and has a Liberty Swing and Ability Whirl (a merry-go-round with full accessibility), seating, restrooms and an observation tower with a view overlooking the Ohio River and Downtown Evansville.

Ramp Up! Area IV Agency on Aging and Community Action Programs, Inc. recently helped construct 8 new ramps in Tippecanoe and Montgomery counties for persons with disabilities in need of accessibility improvements for their home.
