2019 Administrative Plan Open for Public Comment

The Administrative Plan for IHCDA’s Housing Choice Voucher (Section 8) Program is open for public comment effective August 1, 2018 through September 17, 2018. Input from program partners and the general public will be considered when revising the Administrative Plan before submission to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development for approval.

Fair Housing Law & Policy Conference

The Indiana Civil Rights Commission is hosting the Region V Fair Housing Law & Policy Conference on October 10-12, 2018 in Indianapolis. The conference, targeting builders, developers, policymakers, housing providers and realtors, will focus on fair housing investigation, policy and law update, and housing industry best practices.

Moving Forward RD Program Teams Selected

Now Accepting Applications for the 2018-2019 MCMV Program

We are still accepting applications for the 2018-2019 My Community, My Vision (MCMV) program. Each participating community will receive $5,000 to implement a project developed in the planning process that involves high school students, graduate students and local government leadership. On August 10, 2018 we joined LTHC Homeless Services and other partners for the groundbreaking ceremony for Solutions Beyond Engagement Center in Lafayette. This innovative supportive housing development will serve individuals, families and veterans who are experiencing homelessness.

Indiana Housing & Homelessness Conference

On August 23-24, IHCDA partnered with the Coalition for Homelessness & Prevention (CHIP) for the Indiana Housing & Homelessness Conference. As Indiana's inaugural conference on housing and homelessness best practices, the program provided service providers throughout the state with strategies on how to best serve individuals experiencing homelessness.

Rental Housing Tax Credit Application Update

On July 30, 2018, IHCDA received fifty-one (51) applications for nine percent (9%) rental housing tax credits for the 2019A-C round. Recommendations for the 2019A-C round will be made at the November 15, 2018 IHCDA Board of Directors meeting...more.
