Fair Housing Month Celebration

Speaking of ICRC, we joined them for a couple of exciting events in April to promote Fair Housing. The first was their "Seven Days" viewing panel event on April 17th. We then joined them again in the Statehouse on April 26th to celebrate Fair Housing Month and introduce their new mobile app!

Rapid Rehousing Symposium

We invited Merilyn Brown with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to provide Fair Housing training at the Rapid Rehousing Symposium on April 12th. The event was provided by the Indiana Balance of State Continuum of Care. Click here or on the image above to watch the training.

IHCDA Celebrates Fair Housing Month

April marked 50 years since the signing of the Fair Housing Act. To celebrate this historic anniversary, we were involved in a number of events and programs organized by our partners. We thank you for your shared commitment to continue affirmatively furthering fair housing in the State of Indiana.

Kennedy King Memorial Initiative On April 4th, Governor Eric Holcomb was joined by state and local officials for the commemoration ceremony of the Landmark for Peace at the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Park. The site has now been designated a Commemorative National Landmark and was part of our CreatINg Places program through the Kennedy King Memorial Initiative.

Fair Housing Center of Central Indiana We joined the Fair Housing Center of Central Indiana on April 4th for their annual Fair Housing Conference. Workshops focused on ways to ensure equal housing opportunities for Hoosiers.

Back Home in Indiana Alliance Our Deputy Executive Director and Chief Real Estate Development Officer Matt Rayburn spoke at the Back Home in Indiana Alliance's Annual Meeting last month. He focused on sharing ways that IHCDA is promoting accessible, visitable and integrated affordable housing options for persons with disabilities.
