      Energy Assistance Update

      The application date for the 2017-18 Winter Assistance Program through the Low Income Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) has been EXTENDED until June 1, 2018. Individuals seeking assistance should contact the local service provider that services their county.

      How Do I Apply?

      The CreatINg Places program is a unique crowdfunding and grant program to implement placemaking projects in your community. Join a free webinar on May 10 from 10 to 11 a.m. EST to learn how the program supported over 30 projects in its first year and how you can take advantage of a second round of funding to build fun and lively places in your community!

      Ramp Up!

      The IHCDA Real Estate Department is proud to announce the success of the new Ramp Up program!  With this grant program, ICAP was able to provide ramps for 10 homeowners across Henry, Hancock, Fayette, and Rush counties.

      Ball State

      Preserving Historic Places Conference

      In collaboration with Indiana Landmarks, Ball State College of Architecture and Planning, Indiana University School of Art, Architecture, & Design, and Ivy Tech, IHCDA sponsored the state historic preservation conference “Preserving Historic Places” in Columbus, IN. 

      This year teams worked to develop new uses for a unique bank building designed by a famous architect and a 100-year-old theater, The Crump, both in Columbus.

      M. Fine on Spring

      On April 19 IHCDA headed to Jeffersonville, Indiana to celebrate the grand opening of M. Fine on Spring. This development provides 51 units of affordable housing for seniors, as well as a number of services for on-site care.

      All Things Art!

      All Things Art is the latest CreatINg Places campaign to launch! It is being run by the Gary for Life Initiative, in partnership with the Gary Economic Development Corporation and Gary Youth Services Bureau. Through this project, Gary for Life will host a 10-week-long summer series of workshops focused on providing Gary teens with a safe space to engage with different forms of art.
