IHCDA Celebrates 40th Anniversary
IHCDA was created in 1978 by the Indiana General Assembly and is a quasi-public financially self-sufficient statewide government agency. Originally named the Indiana Housing Finance Authority, March 9th marked our 40th anniversary as an agency. IHCDA is part of the family of business agencies under Lt. Governor Suzanne Crouch.

Crawford II Apartments Grand Opening
We joined LifeDesigns and Shalom Community Center for the a grand opening of Crawford II Apartments in Bloomington on March 1, 2018. This development is
a permanent supportive housing project aimed at ending chronic homelessness in
Bloomington.

Rock City Lofts Grand Opening
On March 14, 2018 we joined our partners from Partnership for Affordable Housing for the grand opening of Rock City Lofts in Wabash, Indiana. This development brings 41 units of affordable senior housing to downtown Wabash, as well as new retail space and a senior center.

INARF Conference
We were pleased to join INARF (Indiana Association of Rehabilitation Facilities, Inc.) for their 2018 Annual Conference to share information on how IHCDA's programs can benefit Hoosiers with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

IHCDA 2017 Annual Report
The 2017 IHCDA Annual Report is now available online. With the help of our partners, we continue to
provide housing opportunities, promote self-sufficiency, and strengthen
communities across Indiana.

April is Fair Housing Month
Each
April we celebrate Fair Housing Month to commemorate the
anniversary of the passing of the Fair Housing Act. The Act was passed shortly
after Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s assassination in 1968 in order to eliminate
housing discrimination and create equal opportunity in every community.

2018 Indiana Housing Conference
The 2018 Indiana Housing Conference will take place September 26-27, 2018 at the Marriott Indianapolis in Downtown Indianapolis. The Annual IHCDA Charity Golf Outing will take place September 25, 2018. More details and registration information will be released soon.

Energy Assistance Program Deadline Approaching
Hoosiers in need of assistance paying their winter heating bills can still sign up for the Low Income Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP). The winter assistance period, which began November 1st, offers qualifying Hoosiers a one-time payment to use towards their heat and electric bills. Participants may apply until May 18, 2018.
