Teams announced for the 9th Annual Indiana Permanent Supportive Housing Institute

and Corporation
for Supportive Housing (CSH) announced
this month that teams from six Indiana communities will
be participating in the 2018 Indiana Supportive Housing Institute.
Communities include: Bloomington, Johnson County, Kokomo, Lebanon, New Albany
and two groups in Indianapolis. Over the next five months, these
7 teams will work closely with IHCDA and CSH through a series of targeted
training and group exercises. The Institute will culminate with the Finale
in May where teams will present their plans to a group of public and
private investors.

CreatINg Places program launches first campaign of 2018 in Mishawaka
Mishawaka will soon have a new outdoor fitness space, thanks to a recently launched crowdfunding campaign through the CreatINg Places program. If they reach their goal of $35,000 by March 22nd, the campaign will allow the City of Mishawaka Parks and Recreation Department to install a NFC Fitness Court™ at the south end of Central Park, along the Riverwalk. The fitness court will include 30 pieces of equipment, and will allow for up to 28 individuals to use the court at the same time.

From IHCDA...the Magazine: Brazil BEP Tax Credit
New Hope Services in Jeffersonville worked with the City of Brazil to secure five Blight Elimination Program (BEP) lots in Brazil for the new construction of duplexes and triplexes to total 12 single-family homes. Through this project, these abandoned BEP sites have successfully returned to the city/count tax rolls, invigorated the community and encouraged reinvestment...more.

2018 Point-In-Time (PIT) Count
The 2018 Point-in-Time Count took place Wednesday,
January 24th throughout Indiana. Pictured are Tracy Barnes, Chief of Staff
with Lt. Governor Suzanne Crouch, Jacob Sipe and Nastacia' Moore with IHCDA and
volunteers from the Columbus Point-in-Time Count at the Recovery Engagement
Center. We will release results from the count this summer.
