Board of Director's Meeting held at Silver Birch of Hammond
We held our final Board of Director's meeting of 2017 at Silver Birch of Hammond on December 21st. Following the board meeting, chaired by Lt. Governor Suzanne Crouch, board members and guests took a tour of the development. Silver Birch, which opened earlier this year, is a four-story assisted living facility.

COSCDA CDBG Boot Camp Held at IHCDA
The Council of State Community Development Agencies (COSCDA) hosted a CDBG Boot Camp earlier this month at IHCDA. The four-day training, which is part of COSCDA's Academy, had participants from more than a dozen states. The training began with an overview of CDBG, and concluded with a more in-depth look into how the program can positively and creatively impact communities.

State opens Housing Choice Voucher Waiting List in Vigo, Clay and Posey Counties
IHCDA announced recently that on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at
8:00 am EST, the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) waiting list for Vigo,
Clay and Posey Counties will be open. It will remain open until Wednesday,
January 31, 2018 at 5:00 pm EST.

Crowdfunding Campaign launched for 'Lively Lakefront Playground' Project
Daviess and Martin Counties will soon have a new playground at West Boggs Park, thanks to a new crowdfunding campaign. The campaign, sponsored by IHCDA and offered through the crowdfunding platform developed by Patronicity, is being run by the Daviess Martin Joint County Parks Department. Lt. Governor Suzanne Crouch creating opportunities for all Hoosiers
"All Hoosiers, regardless of background, economic status, or
physical and intellectual changes deserve the same opportunities," said Indiana Lt. Governor Suzanne Crouch and board chair of IHCDA in a recently penned op-ed. She has
always been a passionate supporter of Hoosiers with disabilities, which is why
she is honored to chair the Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities task
force. The 17 person task force has met twice, and will continue to meet all
across Indiana.
