Crowdfunding
campaign launched for the "Communities Creating Change" Project
Indianapolis will soon have a new community space dedicated to
food justice and resident empowerment, thanks to a new crowdfunding campaign. The campaign, sponsored
by the IHCDA and offered through the crowdfunding platform developed by Patronicity
is being run by the Kheprw
Institute.
If the campaign reaches its $30,000 goal by January 9th, 2017,
the ‘Communities Creating Change: Our Voice, Our Choice’ project will receive a
matching grant of $30,000 from IHCDA's CreatINg

Moving Forward 3.0
Recently IHCDA partnered with Energy Systems Network (ESN) to
conduct an intensive two-day workshop as part of the Moving Forward 3.0
Program in November. Miller-Valentine Group and UP Development worked closely with
subject matter experts, local leaders and former residents of the West Calumet
Housing Complex in the workshop, which served as the next step in providing two
new affordable housing developments in Lake County.

Kennedy King Memorial Initiative
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Park in
Indianapolis could soon have two new public art pieces to honor Dr. King and
Robert Kennedy, thanks to a new crowdfunding campaign offered through the
crowdfunding platform developed by Patronicity. This latest CreatINg
Places campaign is being run
by the Kennedy King Memorial Initiative.

In November IHCDA joined Lt. Governor Suzanne Crouch for the Stellarbration in Madison, Indiana. The City of Madison was
