Response to Hurricane Harvey - Emergency Housing Relief Authorization

In accordance with Revenue Procedures 2014-49 and 2014-50, IHCDA is permitting all owners of low-income housing tax credit (“LIHTC”) properties within the State of Indiana to provide temporary emergency housing to displaced individuals affected by Hurricane Harvey.

Lt. Governor Suzanne Crouch presented her 2017 Excellence in Affordable Housing Awards at the Indiana Housing Conference earlier this month.These awards are presented to the most outstanding new properties in four categories and celebrate the best in Indiana affordable housing development.This year’s award winners are:

LifeDesigns

LiFEDesigns at McKinley Court in Columbus Grand Opening

LIFEDesigns, Inc. celebrated the completion of phase one of LIFEDesigns at McKinley Court in Columbus on August 31st. Each of the two houses built in this first phase features four single occupancy units for developmentally disabled adults who were aging out of their Bloomington group home. The project was a collaboration between LIFEDesigns and Milestone Ventures and was built with $440,000 of IHCDA HOME funds as well as financial support from the Federal Home Loan Bank of Indianapolis and the Old National Bank Foundation.

2017-18 MCMV Program

The 2017-2018 My Community, My Vision (MCMV) program is now accepting applications.  This year’s program will develop formal and detailed plans with support from the Ball State University’s School of Urban Planning and the Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority (IHCDA).
