IHCDA receives grant to help Hoosier veterans
On November 14th, HUD announced that IHCDA received a $362,700 federal grant to
support rental assistance for homeless veterans in Lake County; enough
to assist 75 Hoosier veterans. In addition to housing assistance, the
grants will be used to connect veterans with health care, mental health
services, and case management assistance.

CreatINg Places in Wabash
Under our exciting new CreatINg Places initiative, Wabash Marketplace, Inc. is spearheading a project to develop the north bank of the Wabash River in Wabash, Indiana. The campaign launched on Nov 16, 2016 and will only receive funds if it reaches its goal by Dec 31, 2016
CreatINg Places is a
collaborative effort between IHCDA and Patronicity in which residents can use
“crowdgranting” to be part of the development of strategic projects in their
communities.

IACED Celebrates 30th Anniversary
On November 16, the Indiana Association for Community Economic
Development (IACED) hosted the Prosperity Indiana Summit and its 30th
Anniversary Celebration at the Sheraton Indianapolis Hotel at Keystone
Crossing. In celebration of IACED’s 30th anniversary, the organization
revealed its new brand, Prosperity Indiana. Additionally, during the
summit’s luncheon, an annual awards presentation took place to honor
