Next Door Spaces
The purpose of the Next Door Spaces program is two-fold. The first part of the program involves IHCDA taking inventory of the current stock of commercial space located within tax credit developments. The second part involves working with the Indiana Small Business Development Center (ISBDC) to connect building owners with local entrepreneurs and small business owners that are looking to open or expand their businesses.
Owners of existing RHTC properties that contain vacant commercial space or who are developing RHTC properties that will contain commercial space can contact IHCDA’s Rental Housing Tax Credit Specialist. IHCDA will work to connect the owner with the appropriate regional Indiana Small Business Development Center (ISBDC) team member and engage in conversations around potential local partnerships.
