LIHTC 30th Anniversary

Celebrating 30 Years of LIHTC

We invite you to join us on October 21, 2016 at 2:00 in the afternoon for a statewide celebration commemorating the 30 year anniversary of the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit  (LIHTC) program. Casalini Project

Casalini Portraits of the Human Spirit

In celebration of the 30-year anniversary of the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program, IHCDA and the Indiana Affordable Housing Council (IAHC) commissioned world-renowned photographer Tom Casalini to work on a series of portraits. With support from writer Jason Smith, Casalini showcased his breathtaking gallery, entitled Portrait of the Human Spirit: A Sense of Space, during the Indiana Housing Conference. For more information about the portrait project, which was named a Bicentennial Legacy Project or to request to put them on display, contact Brian Philps at bphilps@ihcda.in.gov.

Celebrating 40 Years of the Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP)

For the latest installment of IHCDA…On Location and as part of our year-long effort to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP), we traveled with our partners at the Area IV Agency on Aging and Community Action Programs to two homes that they had recently weatherized. Each family has experienced significant energy and cost savings.

2016-17 My Community, My Vision Kick-Off Event

The kick-off event for the 2016-17 My Community, My Vision program took place Saturday, September 24, 2016 at the Ball State University – Fisher Center for Academic and Economic Innovation. Local Units of Government (LUGs) participating in this year’s program with support of area youth, are: Greenfield, Greensburg, Crawfordsville, Shelbyville and Corydon. Following months of planning with support from graduate students in Ball State University’s School of Urban Planning, each group will present their plans in April 2017.
