On July 13th, members of IHCDA attended a groundbreaking ceremony for the Martin County Senior Citizens Housing rehabilitation project. This project, funded in part using IHCDA HOME funds, will result in the rehabilitation of 42 senior housing units across two apartment complexes located in Loogootee. These units, originally built in the late 1960s, will receive extensive repairs with a focus on energy efficiency and livability improvements for tenants.

Housing Conference

CHDOs Sessions at the 2016 Indiana Housing Conference.

As part of the 2016 Indiana Housing Conference - to be held August 25-26, IHCDA will be hosting a separate track targeted toward Community Housing Development Organizations (CHDOs).  The track will offer eight sessions covering topics including CHDO regulations, assembling a rental or homebuyer project, non-profit financial management, and a CHDO peer-to-peer panel.  These sessions are designed for current CHDO’s and any other organization which is considering certifying as an IHCDA CHDO in future HOME rounds.  To encourage participation, we are offering scholarships to organizations to attend the CHDO track. Scholarship information can be found on IHCDA’s CHDO webpage.  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Sam Spergel (sspergel@ihcda.in.gov) or Aj Bytnar (abytnar@ihcda.in.gov ).
