IHCDA launches Ramp Up Indiana Program

IHCDA announced earlier this month, in accordance with Indiana Disability Awareness Month, the launch of a new program aimed at providing assistive mobility devices to Indiana homeowners. The program, called Ramp Up Indiana, will provide up to $25,000 each to eligible non-profit organizations in Indiana as part of a non-competitive rolling funding round beginning May 1, 2016. NFMC Program reaches major milestone

With help from IHCDA's Indiana Foreclosure Prevention Network (IFPN), the National Foreclosure Mitigation Counseling (NFMC) Program reached a major milestone this month. NFMC announced that 2 million homeowners have been served nationwide. NFMC and its partners provide counseling to homeowners in order to help cure serious delinquency and avoid foreclosure.

IHCDA, OCRA and HPGN develop capacity building curriculum

Indiana thrives when its neighborhoods, cities, towns and regions are strong. Building capacity around a community’s existing leadership and assets is the foundation for a sustainable and healthy community. The Office of Community and Rural Affairs (OCRA), IHCDA, and the High Performance Government Network (HPGN) have collaborated to create a curriculum of courses to assist in further building capacity in Indiana's hometowns. Dearborn County Continues Fight Against Blight

Dearborn County officials gathered earlier this month to watch a blighted property in Aurora, located at 536 Green Blvd., be demolished as part of Indiana's Hardest Hit Fund Blight Elimination Program (BEP). Statewide, the program has made a total of $75 million in blight elimination funds available to reduce foreclosures through stabilization of residential property values...more.
