GDC of Elkhart County received WorkOne Achievement Award
INDIANAPOLIS (April 12, 2017) – The
Department of Workforce Development (DWD) and its WorkOne Career Centers hosted
their biennial WorkOne Achievement Awards on Tuesday, April 11, 2017, at the
Statehouse. The ceremony recognized the success of Hoosier employees and
employers who have received services through WorkOne. One of 22 recipients, GDC
received an employer award for partnering with WorkOne to create employment
opportunities for local Hoosiers. The company was nominated for the award by its
local WorkOne center.

GDC has two plants in Elkhart County, which produce a variety of products, including airflow management, splash shields, acoustic insulation and more. GDC posts its jobs to Indiana Career Connect. Since last year, more than 15 general labor positions and six supervisor positions have been filled. Three of those new hires were veterans. GDC continues to hire for the Goshen plant and will be utilizing WorkOne services to staff the Elkhart plant in the near future.
