Rapid Response Team Activated to Assist 
ITT Tech Employees in Newburgh

INDIANAPOLIS (September 7, 2016) - The Indiana Department of Workforce Development (DWD) and its community partner, WorkOne Southwest Indiana, have activated the state’s Rapid Response team to assist employees affected by ITT Tech closing its facility in Newburgh.

The state’s Rapid Response team is activated when a significant layoff or plant closure occurs and pairs knowledgeable WorkOne staff with displaced employees to move them toward a plan for re-employment as soon as possible. Activities focus on connecting displaced employees with local employment opportunities as well as providing resume assistance, interview workshops and skills assessments.

The first Rapid Response session will held for employees at 2:00 p.m. (CDT) on September 14, 2016 at WorkOne Southwest Indiana, which is located at 700 East Walnut Street, Evansville. For more information, please contact WorkOne Southwest Indiana at 812-492-4509.
