Military Heroes Day at the Indiana State Fair

Join us on Mon., Aug. 5 at the Indiana State Fair as we celebrate Chevrolet Military Day! Current and former military members and their families receive free admission with a valid ID presented at the gate. Enjoy the Fair from 8 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. and stop by the Indiana Department of Veterans' Affairs booth located next to the Pepsi Coliseum. Visit the Indiana State Fair for more information.

Indiana State Parks is hosting Operation Arts beginning at 10 a.m. on Sat., Aug. 17 at Fort Harrison State Park in Indianapolis. Veterans and current service members are invited to participate in free arts activities with their family and friends at this one-day event. Lunch is provided. RSVP online or call 317.232.1268.

Grissom Air Reserve Base Air and Space Expo 2019

Kid Fishin' Mission

Veteran volunteers are needed to catch fish with children on Chevrolet Military Day from 3:30 to 7 p.m. on Mon., Aug. 5. at the Indiana State Fair Cement DNR pond. All equipment provided. Contact Jeff Piper at 317.946.8365 to sign up.

Second Annual Veterans' Seminar and Resource Fair

Never Forget 9/11 Ride

Harley Owners Group Indianapolis Chapter No. 1 Never Forget 9/11 Ride kicks off with registration at 4:30 p.m. and a ceremony at 7:45 p.m. Riders meet at Harley Davidson of Indianapolis located at 12400 Reynolds Drive in Fishers. Police will escort to the 9/11 Memorial downtown. Everyone is welcome to attend this free event.

Vietnam Blue Water Navy Veterans
Blue Water Navy veterans are now entitled to a presumption of service connection for conditions related to Agent Orange. To file a claim, visit VA.gov or go to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Regional Office located at 575 N. Pennsylvania Street in Indianapolis and a VA employee will assist you.
