U.S. 35 to close for bridge construction

GRANT COUNTY, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation announces the closure of U.S. 35 for bridge construction.

Crews are scheduled to begin working between State Road 9 and State Road 37 on or after April 1. Work is expected to last until mid-June. All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.

During the closure, drivers should use the posted detour of S.R. 37, State Road 26 and S.R. 9, or seek an alternate route.

INDOT reminds drivers to consider worker safety by slowing down, using extra caution and driving distraction-free when travelling in and around all work zones.
