Rolling slowdowns scheduled for I-80/94

LAKE COUNTY, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation announces utility work on I-80/94.

NIPSCO will be working on lines and poles between I-65 and Broadway.

During the work, drivers can expect rolling slowdowns and delays. The work is expected to affect all lanes of traffic. Indiana State Police will be present to help with traffic control.

The work is scheduled to take place starting Sunday, September 5 at 10 p.m. and will last until Monday, September 6 at 4:00 a.m.

INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, use extra caution and drive distraction-free when travelling in and around all work zones. All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
