Hazel Bluff Road will close Monday as part of the
State Road 63 project

VIGO AND VERMILLION COUNTIES, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation announces Hazel Bluff Road will close on or after Monday, August 16 from S. Grady Lane to C.R. 200 East. This is so the contractor can use the S.R. 63/Hazel Bluff intersection as a crossover for all traffic into the northbound lanes between Terre Haute and Clinton. This closure is scheduled to last through December 1, 2021.

Milestone Contractors South was awarded the $12.9 million contract. The project includes patching and resurfacing S.R. 63 from nearly two miles north of U.S. 41 to just south of S.R. 163. The southbound lanes will be constructed this year with the northbound lanes in 2022. The project is scheduled for completion June 30, 2022.
