Construction to begin on U.S. 40 in Greenfield 

Lane restrictions scheduled to begin on June 29

GREENFIELD, Ind. - The Indiana Department of Transportation will begin construction on U.S. 40 in Greenfield on June 29. 

Crews will be working on U.S. 40 in both directions from C.R. 150 W to Broadway St.

Beginning Saturday night, lanes will be permanently restricted to one lane open in each direction. 

INDOT will be changing the road from 4 lanes to 3. There will be one lane in each direction for moving traffic, a center turning lane and designated bike lanes.

Road Diet

Work will be mostly completed on nights and weekends through the end of September. 

INDOT would like to remind drivers to slow down in work zones and watch for slow traffic.
