Railroad Crossing Improvement
Scheduled on S.R. 1 near Butler
S.R.
1 to be closed between Hickory Street and C.R. 30 to allow railroad to
rebuild the crossing
DEKALB COUNTY – The Indiana Department of
Transportation announces that S.R. 1, between Hickory Street and C.R. 30 near
the City of Butler, is scheduled to close on the morning of Monday, Nov. 14, as
Norfolk Southern Railroad rebuilds the railroad crossing.
The official state detour is S.R. 8 to I-69 to U.S. 6.
The work, which will improve the driving surface for
motorists, is anticipated to be completed by 6 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 18, weather
permitting.
